In late 2004 the WTO ruled that the EU must end its cross-subsidisation of sugar exports after Brazil, with Australia and Thailand, had filed a complaint about this practice. This important ruling could result in even higher Brazilian sugar exports in the future.

From 15 to 17 June 2005, the 3rd edition of PELLETS-EXPO will be held in Bydgoszcz, Poland (Łuczniczka hall). Last time, more than 42 companies were presenting themselves during three days of the event. There were exhibitors from Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, Austria and the Netherlands. Compared to the past year, the fair in 2004 resulted in over triple as many exhibitors. During the accompanying CONFERENCE: “Pellets – is that profitable, one year of experience” the lecturers presented the market trends, the potential of biomass, the development of the Polish pellets market and its current situation against the European markets. They also shared their practical experiences, economic issues, promotional presentations, etc.
With the growth of the renewable energy sector, the fairs and the conference gather more and more participants every year. PELLETS-EXPO in Bydgoszcz is Poland’s major place for promotion of modern technologies, market trends, and a venue for exchange of experience and opinions between specialists.
