A remarkable year ahead !

Or in other words, to all our readers I wish you a Happy and Successful New Year. For this will be a remarkable year for bioenergyand renewable energy in general :the launch of the Kyotoprotocol, the gathering pace of the European market, strong growth in Asiawith global uptake and investment as well as a packed calendar of exhibitions, conferences and other events which will help bioenergyto make quantum leaps in 2005.

And in stark contrast to past history, bioenergywill no longer be 'waiting in the wings' :the momentum is real, environmental issues have become hard commercial and economic currency, and the competition has shown that it is (and will continue to be) less and less able to meet our energy needs !

For all these reasons, ITEBE and the fellowship of professionals that it represents, will double their efforts in 2005 to realise the opportunity that is now at hand, by

instigating a comprehensive work programme for the wood energy professional clubs and by initiating further steps to embrace biogas and liquid biofuels, by doubling its training programmes, by participating in significant international projects : AlpenergyWood and its wood energy road as well as the virtual bioenergyuniversity among others, by partnering with and participating at a range of important events :
